SuperSport United Football Club veteran Onismor Bhasera formed part of the Sowetan’s 2022-2023 team of the season.

“Bash,” as he is affectionately called across the football spectrum, had a fantastic season with Matsatsantsa in the just concluded Premier Soccer League (PSL) season.

The hard-working skipper’s work-rate didn’t go unnoticed as he led the team to finish this past season on position three on the league’s log table.

According to Sowetan, the Zimbabwean international played a crucial role as he managed to get the new signings settled.

“The 37-year-old Bhasera had a brilliant season. His experience and leadership qualities made it easy for newcomers like goalkeeper Ricardo Goss and Thulani Hlatshwayo to adapt quickly to life at Matsatsantsa. Bhasera also chipped in with two goals from 25 league games,” said the Sowetan.
