SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns will battle against each other in the Tshwane derby in the second leg of the DStv Premiership match.
The game is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
Kickoff is at 5pm.
This is going to be a tough battle between the two crosstown rivals who are not prepared to settle for anything less than three points.
Matsatsantsa are looking to consolidate a place in the top five finish as they did not have a good second round of the season due to an assortment of injuries and long layoff to some of their regular team members.
On the other hand, Sundowns are also aiming to make history as a victory for them will see them lifting the Premiership title.
“We know what is at stake, we know they would want to wrap up the league, we are fighting to get back in the top five, so it’s going to be a battle out there.
It’s a Tshwane derby and one with historic moments and I’m sure both teams would want to battle for bragging rights. However, we are blessed with a full strength squad, all our soldiers are available and ready to do battle,” said the United captain Ronwen Williams.
Although Williams is satisfied with preparations, a two-week break interfered with the team’s momentum.
“We couldn’t continue with some momentum from our last victory but the two week break gave us enough time to fine tune our game plan, the team is looking good and ready for the fight.
The boys are looking fit and sharp, it’s always a bonus to have a full squad,” Williams concluded.
Matsatsantsa will rely on players such as Williams, Teboho Mokoena, Sipho Mbule, Jamie Webber and forwards Bradley Grobler and Thami Gabuza.
In their last league match, United beat reigning Nedbank Cup champions TTM FC 1-0 at the Atteridgeville’s Lucas Moripe Stadium.
