Captain's column -Ronwen Online

It was lovely to have some off days and spent time with our loved ones, and most importantly recharge the batteries a bit.

We returned to training on the 26th of December and got New Year’s Day off again. We have been working very hard since our return from the Festive Season break, the team looks good, we got a few setbacks with COVID19 but we will soldier on, we have prepared very well and the guys look to maintain our good start.

The confidence is obviously high as we won our last three games, but that’s in the past we have got a tough one against an unpredictable side. We need to keep the momentum going, the mood in the camp is very good, the guys worked very hard over the short break so it showed we don’t want to slip up.

We have prepared well, we must do what we have been doing, focus, play to our strengths and minimize theirs, the preparations has been very good. Chippa United are very unpredictable so our focus is on ourselves and do what we know we can, believe in the game-plan and execute.

They obviously have a new coach (Dan Malesela), but that has got nothing to do with us, we know what we want to achieve so we focus on that.

It’s been a very tough time for the world, but we can’t drop the ball now, we have come a long way, let’s go back to following strict protocols, continue wearing of masks, washing our hands on a regular basis and keep social distancing, we can’t keep losing our loved ones through this virus, let’s beat it!!!
