It was obviously disappointing to be knocked out of the MTN8 Cup especially after coming from a goal down to take the lead.

We lost concentration in the critical phases of the game where we couldn't manage the game and conceded a goal deep in extra time. But there were a lot of positives we took from the game, especially our team structure in possession and out of possession, principles and physical condition because it was our first competitive game of the season.
We scored two good goals which we really worked hard for from a movement, penetration, decision making and technical point of view. Our substitutes Gamphani Lungu and Rayners came on and gave us width and speed which we needed to get behind the defense.
We have promoted a few of our young DDC team players like Tenda Matodzi and Thalenthe Mbatha because they have the potential to play for the 1st team if they continue working hard.
We have also brought in Buhle Mkhwanazi to add experience and leadership at the heart of our defense. He brings in a lot of experience as a Bafana Bafana international who has won trophies with his previous clubs. His presence will also help our young players like Keenan Phillips, Luke Fleurs, Jesse Donn and Thatayaone Ditlhokwe to learn how a professional player lives on and off the field.
I will be back from suspension in our next game against Arrows but nothing has really changed in terms of how we train and our match preparation. We have a structure that is in place that we follow and I have been involved with the team in that regard. I would like to thank coach Andre Arendse and coach Grant Johnson for making sure that our tactical and technical principles are followed during the matches.
We are playing a team that is high in confidence after knocking us out of the cup and they won their first league game. They play some good football but I believe we have a good team to go out there and compete and get a positive result and we are also playing at home.
