SuperSport United Football Club would like congratulate Bafana Bafana following a fierce midweek home victory against neighbouring state Zimbabwe.

The big match was held at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein on Tuesday night.

The meeting between the two nations was a battle for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier that will be hosted by United States of America, Mexico and Canada.

South Africa beat Zimbabwe 3-1 with strikes from ex-SuperSport forward Iqraam Rayners and a brace by Thapelo Morena of league champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

The victory moved Bafana to second spot on the CAF Qualifiers Table having played four matches, two wins, the same number of draws and losses (1) and they have bagged seven points together with third placed Benin and leaders Rwanda.
