Dinaledi FC finished third in the inaugural DStv Compact Cup on the weekend.

The match took place at the 2010 FIFA World Cup final venue FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Dinaledi grabbed an early lead through Lesedi Kapinga after receiving a brilliant delivery from Nyiko Mobbie in the middle of the park inside fine minutes of the first half.

The two outfits kept on creating scoring opportunities but both keepers were up to the task.

The halftime score was 1- O to Dinaledi FC.

Dinaledi finished third in the inaugural DStv Compact Cup after beating Amabutho FC 1-O in the third-place playoff.
