The match was held at the Soweto’s Dobsonville Stadium.
SuperSport made their intentions clear from the beginning as they netted in the second minute of the match through Oratile Moloisane fromThabang Makhubo’s brilliant assist.
In the 12th minute, Makhubo got fouled into the box and the referee pointed to the spot.
Makhubo raised his hand as he beautifully converted from the spot-kick.
The halftime score was 2-0 to visitors SuperSport United.
United continued where they left off in the first half as they put tremendous pressure searching for the third goal.
In the 55th minute skipper Makhubo completed his brace after a brilliant interplay with Motebang Matube and Moloisane.
The score was 3-0 to SuperSport United.
Matsatsantsa did not stop creating some scoring opportunites as Matube registered United’s fourth strike in the 73rd minute after a goal-mouth scramble from a superb cross on the right by Thabang Makhubo.
In the 82nd minute, substitute Thabang Mahlangu was unlucky to net the fifth goal as his effort was blocked by the Swallows defence following a brilliant delivery from Thabang Makhubo.
In the 85th minute Mahlangu came back to ensure that this time around he put his name on the scoresheet following a clever pass from Mazibuko on the right hand side.
The final score was 5-0 to coach Roscoe Krieling’s “Super boys.”
