Gabuza wins award in memory of his late son

Big SuperSport United centre forward Thamsanqa Gabuza won man of the Match award when his team beat Highlands Park 1-0 in the 2019 MTN8 Cup final on Saturday night.

The match was held at Soweto’s Orlando Stadium.

Gabuza displayed some great performances on the night and was ultimately awarded for his effort after the match.

Although Ganda-Ganda (as he is affectionately called by his teammates) didn’t score on the night, he is the lucrative competition’s top-goal scorer. He netted three strikes, followed by fellow striker Bradley Grobler with two goals.

This was Gabuza’s maiden trophy in the United colours after joining them at the beginning of the current season from Orlando Pirates (together with Thabo Qalinge and Kuda Mahachi)

Meanwhile the staff, players and the technical team send their deepest condolences to Gabuza who lost his son last week. May his soul rest in peace!
