However, SuperSport responded in the 15th minute when Russell found the back of the net, reducing the deficit to 3-1 by halftime. The second half was even more intense, with both teams battling for control, but Kaizer Chiefs extended their lead in the 36th minute with a fourth goal, sealing their dominance in the match. The match ended in a final score of 4-1.

SuperSport U17 Secures Victory in Final Clash of Top 8 tournament Against RESA

SuperSport Development Academy U17 wrapped up their campaign with a dominant performance in their final game against RESA, kicking off at 12:00. Matsatsantsa started strongly, taking an early lead in the 18th minute when Will Henson found the back of the net. The team-maintained control throughout the match, displaying solid defensive work and creating attacking opportunities. In the second half, Gabriel Habelgraan extended SuperSport’s advantage with a well-taken goal in the 63rd minute, sealing the game. The final whistle confirmed a 2-0 victory in favour of Matsatsantsa, capping off a strong showing from the young side.

SuperSport Development Academy U19 faced School of Excellence in the Top 8 final, with kickoff at 13:35. School of Excellence took the lead in the 33rd minute, putting Matsatsantsa on the back foot. However, in the second half, SuperSport showed resilience and fought back. Tshegofatso Modise found the equalizer, igniting hopes of a comeback. Just a minute later, Tshiamo Selemela netted the decisive goal, completing a dramatic turnaround. SuperSport held on to their lead, and the match ended with a 2-1 victory, crowning them Top 8 Champions in thrilling fashion.
