SuperSport Development Academy went head-to-head against Tuks in the Gauteng Development League (GDL) on Saturday. The matches took place at the University of Pretoria, with the first game kicking off at 9:00.
The U19s were the first to take the field and secured an impressive 3-0 victory over Tuks. Tshegofatso Modise opened the scoring with an assist from Zinathi Mthethwa. Lesego added the second goal, assisted by Orifha, before Lehlohonolo Mahlangu sealed the win with the third goal.
In the second match, the U13s played to an exciting 2-2 draw against Tuks. Kenzo Rana put SuperSport ahead with the first goal, while Luyolo Ripa netted the team’s final goal to earn a share of the points.
The U14s were up next but fell short in a 4-2 defeat. Mpho Pitsa and Junior Nhlapo found the back of the net for SuperSport, but Tuks managed to outscore them.
The U15s put in a strong performance in the fourth match of the day, edging Tuks 3-2. Thabang Qina opened the scoring, followed by Liam Frost, who capitalized on an assist from Thabang. Asanele then struck the decisive third goal to secure the win.
