SuperSport Development Academy battle it out over weekend against Kythorus Hyper Academy in a Gauteng Development League (GDL) fixture hosted at Curro Sagewood.

The day kicked off with the Under-13 side setting the tone with a sensational 6-0 victory, demonstrating clinical finishing and disciplined defending from start to finish. Their dominance laid a strong foundation for what would turn into a successful day for the academy.

In the Under-14 encounter, SuperSport were held to a 1-1 draw in a tightly contested match that saw both sides creating chances but ultimately settling for a share of the spoils.

The Under-15 team followed up with a gritty 2-1 win, edging past their opponents in a match that required composure and resilience. The young talents kept their nerve under pressure to secure the three points.

SuperSport’s Under-17 squad delivered an impressive attacking performance, winning 4-1 and overwhelming Kythorus with fluid combinations and sharp finishing in the final third.

The final game of the day saw the Under-19s grind out a 1-0 win in a tense and tactical battle. A solitary goal proved to be the difference as the team maintained their structure and focus to see out the result.
