SuperSport United Development Academy participated in the GDL on Friday, 09 August. The game was between SuperSport United and Kathorus Hyper Academy at Mavuso St, Duduza Stadium, Johannesburg. All the games were live streamed on the SuperSport School’s channel.

SuperSport United U13 had an impressive performance in their first match of the day against Karhorus Hyper academy, winning with a score of 4-1. The team showed great teamwork and coordination, with Katlego Makhubuki scoring the first two goals, assisted by Mpho Pitsa. Luyolo Ripaa then scored the third goal, with an assist from Thabang Qina, and Qina scored the final goal, assisted by Junior Nduna.

The match between SuperSport United’s U15 and Kathorus Hyper Academy U15 was an intense and exciting game to watch. SuperSport United dominated the game and secured a 3-2 win. The star player of the match was Thierry Moshoko, who scored all three goals (Hat-Trick) for SuperSport United, securing their victory.

SuperSport United U17 played the third game of the day against Kathorus and were unable to secure a win. Despite putting up a good fight, they lost the game with a final score of 2-4. Buhlebenkosi scored the first goal in the first half, assisted by Lizwi Sakati. In the second half, Lizwi Sakati scored the second goal, bringing the team closer to a potential comeback.

SuperSport United U19, played the last match of the day on Friday and lost against Kathorus with a score of 0-1.
