Grobler extends his tally

SuperSport United forward Bradly Grobler netted a winning strike when his team beat reigning Nedbank Cup champions TTM 1-0 in the DStv Premiership encounter yesterday.

The match was held at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville, Tshwane.

Grobler’s goal was a beautiful header after he was set up by the speedy DRC international Guily Manziba.

The goal saw Grobler taking his tally to 14 on the DStv top scorers’ chart.

The United marksman missed a lot of matches after a long lay off due to an injury he picked up in the middle of the current season and returned recently to help his team finish in a respectable.

Also back in the fold is his striking partner who was also sidelined by the injury for a longer period.  He appeared briefly (86th) for Ghampani Lungu in yesterday’s match and the big win will hopefully motivate the pair to finish the season on a positive note.

Matsatsantsa are currently on position six having played 27 matches with 41 points

Meanwhile Matsatsantsa will play their next league match against perennial rivals and leaders Mamelodi Sundowns next week.

The match will be played at the Tshwane’s Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Wednesday and kick off is at 5pm.
