It will be a very tough match – Dean Furman

We are very disappointed after our recent defeat to Golden Arrows in the league, but it is important we put this behind us now and focus on the Cup competition.

This is an important tournament for us and one we have enjoyed a lot of success in recent years.

A very difficult first round draw against Mamelodi Sundowns but that is the joy of Cup competition where there are no seedings. It will be a very tough match, but we hope to have learned from our game last month. We are going to have to be at the top of our game to progress to the next round.

Teboho “Tebza” Mokoena is a big player for us and of course his presence and quality were missed in the middle of the park against Sundowns last time out. He will have a huge role to play and we know when he is on top of his game he is up there with the best midfielders in the league.

This fixture always throws up interesting side stories. We all know the history of coach Pitso Mosimane and coach Kaitano Tembo, but all these stories will have little importance once the whistle blows on Saturday night.

Moses Waiswa and Guily Manziba are great additions to the squad. We are really pleased that Waiswa has regained full fitness and we saw his quality in the great victory over Chippa United. Guily has looked very exciting in training and is a very fast and direct winger. We are looking forward to seeing him in action and hopefully he can add another dimension to the team in the final stages of the season.

It is a fantastic opportunity for Khanyisile Mayo to go on loan to Tuks FC. He will gain valuable experience and we hope he gets some game time there. The club will of course be tracking his progress and we all wish him luck and hope he makes a big impact.

I would like to personally thank our fans for their continued support. It means so much to us as players to see our loyal fans in the stadium every week. Let’s hope we can share some more great times between now and the end of the season!
