This after the young defender put some solid performances although the sides played to a stalemate.
Matsatsantsa missed a lot of their regular members due to an assortment of injuries and sickness.
“I’m honoured to have been named Man of the Match. This is definitely a big motivation for me but obviously that’s not my main objective, my objective is to help the team to the best of my ability,” said the new Matsatsantsa defender.
According to Johannes, the team encouraged him to stay consistent and not put himself under pressure.
“It was definitely a great moment. Both my teammates and technical team sent some encouraging words to me,” he said.

Good news for Matsatsantsa is the return of their midfield maestro Teboho Mokoena who came off the bench for the young Selaelo Rasebotja in the 73rd minute after recovering from sickness.
