SuperSport United suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat to Stellenbosch FC in a Betway Premiership clash played on Saturday afternoon at the Danie Craven Stadium.

Stellenbosch started the match with intensity and took an early lead in the 15th minute. Stellenbosch continued to pile on the pressure and found their second goal in the 27th minute, giving them a solid 2-0 advantage going into halftime.
In the second half, SuperSport United came out with renewed energy and pushed hard to get back into the game. Their efforts were rewarded when Bradley Grobler’s strike was saved, but a Stellenbosch player inadvertently turned the rebound into his own net, handing SuperSport a lifeline.
Despite their late surge, SuperSport were unable to find the equaliser, and the match ended 2-1 in favour of Stellenbosch FC.
