SuperSport United suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat against Orlando Pirates in a closely contested Betway Premiership encounter at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The match got underway at 19:30, with both teams battling for control in the opening stages. Despite several efforts, neither side managed to break the deadlock in the first half, which ended goalless.

Orlando Pirates eventually found the breakthrough in the 72nd minute, taking a decisive lead. SuperSport United pressed for an equaliser but were unable to find the back of the net.
