TS Galaxy came out firing in the opening stages, showing attacking intent and finding the back of the net early on to take a 1-0 lead. Despite efforts from SuperSport to respond, the visitors held firm, going into the halftime break with their narrow advantage intact.
The second half saw a much-improved performance from SuperSport United, who wasted no time in getting back into the game. In the 51st minute, Mandlenkosi Nkosi levelled the score with a well-taken goal, assisted by Koketso Mathidza. However, TS Galaxy quickly regained their lead just two minutes later, making it 2-1.
Refusing to back down, SuperSport responded again. Manelisi Mazibuko found the equaliser in the 59th minute with a fine finish, following a assist from Mattera. The hosts then took the lead for the first time in the match when Makhubo scored SuperSport’s third goal, connecting beautifully with a pass from Zach Taitz.
Just as SuperSport looked to have sealed the win, TS Galaxy struck late in the final five minutes to make it 3-3 and ensure the points were shared.
