The match was held at the Soweto’s Orlando Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The match ended 1-all with the home side scoring from the boot of Tshegofatso Mabasa on the stroke of half.
“The Buccaneers” went into the break ahead.
The visitors came back strongly in the second half after United mentor Gavin Hunt made three substitutions with Bradley Grobler, Gape Moralo and Aphiwe Baliti all came off the bench for Siviwe Magidigidi, Lyle Lakay and skipper Onismor Bhasera respectively.
In the 61st minute substitute Moralo equalized for United following a brilliant delivery from winger Shandre Campbell after Grobler won possession and passed the ball to Campbell.
The two teams shared the spoils as Matsatsantsa completed the season on position seven.
Meanwhile SuperSport will kick off the first Cup competition of the new season (MTN8 Cup) against Pirates who finished the campaign on position two.
