SuperSport United welcome Golden Arrows in their first match of the new DStv Premiership season at home.
The match is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville, Tshwane.
Kickoff is at 3pm.
Matsatsantsa are going into this game following a goalless draw on the road against Cape Town City FC last weekend. United came back home with a fair result looking at how difficult it is playing away in Cape Town at any given time.
In their upcoming game, Matsatsantsa are looking to settle the score after losing a couple matches against Arrows including the MTN8 Cup quarterfinal recently.
“We are playing a team that is high in confidence after knocking us out of the Cup competition and they won their first league match. They play some good football but I believe we have a good team to go out there and compete and get a positive result and we are also playing at home,” said the United mentor who returns to the dugout after serving a two-match suspension.
Last season, Arrows won both matches against United, they won 3-1 at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium last year and also beat them 1-0 at home in Tshwane in April this year.
Matsatsantsa will rely on players such goalkeeper and captain Ronwen Williams, Bradley Grobler, Thami Gabuza, Teboho Mokoena and Sipho Mbule.
A home win for Matsatsantsa in this meeting would be a good gesture to their loyal supporters who are still rallying behind them watching from home.
Meanwhile good news for Matsatsantsa is that this match marks the return of head coach Kaitano Tembo who served a two-match suspension
