SuperSport United take on Marumo Gallants in a crucial midweek DStv Premiership match in Polokwane, Limpopo province.
The match is scheduled for Tuesday night at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Kick-off is at 7:30pm.
The SuperSport United website managed to conduct Q and A with the national under23 squad skipper Kegan Johannes at his hotel room in Polokwane.
How was the trip to Polokwane for the Tuesday night DStv Premiership against Marumo Gallants?
The trip to Polokwane was a good one we arrived safe and sound which is a great blessing.
Would you say the break helped you after winning the last match at home a fortnight ago?
You know a break always helps teams to get some time to rest and rejuvenated, especially with our schedules you know. So it’s always good to get a break but I feel sometimes a break at the wrong time can also be costly in terms of the team’s momentum and other things.
This is a must win match as the chasing pack is eyeing position two come end of the season?
Look, we play every league match to get maximum points and we know the goals we set for ourselves, so we will continue to work hard to make sure that we achieve our objectives.
Marumo Gallants are currently on top form and have managed to move away from relegation zone?
True that, the team we’re playing has been doing very well of late but we are not too focused on them but most importantly on us and our performance because everyone’s aware of what the league table looks like so for both teams maximum points would be crucial.
This is going to be a tough one Kegan, but surely if you go with the same fighting spirit you used in the last match you'll get a positive result?
Of course it’s going to be a tough encounter just like any other league match but like you said if we go into this match showing the same hunger and fighting spirit I think the results will come our way.
