Modiba extends his stay at United

SuperSport United is pleased to announce that Aubrey Modiba has signed a four-and a-half year extension which will see him at the club till 2024.

The Polokwane-based-player has been a vital cog in the United team since joining Matsatsantsa from Cape Town City a few seasons ago.

Modiba, who also won few caps with Bafana Bafana, formed part of the United squad that won Cup competitions under the leadership of skipper Dean Furman.  His stay and contribution to the club will further take United to greater heights.

Modiba has been side-lined by an injury for a while and was on the bench when SuperSport played Mamelodi Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup Tshwane derby on the weekend.

His return is a big boost to Matsatsantsa as they are now focusing on the league championship.

Meanwhile Matsatsantsa will play their next league match on the road as they take on the Cape Town based rookies Stellenbosch FC this week.

The match is scheduled for Cape Town Stadium on Friday night and kick off is at 20:00.
