SuperSport United new signings Sifiso Ngobeni and Thapelo Maseko debuted for Matsatsantsa in their midweek encounter against Maritzburg United this week on Wednesday.

The match was held at the Harry Gwala Stadium.

Unfortunately Matsatsantsa lost 2-1 to the home side.

This is obviously a disappointing experience to the pair who were both introduced in the second half of the match.

Ngobeni and Maseko came off the bench for Onismor Bhasera and Moses Ndhondhi in the 76^th and 77^th minutes respectively.

“Marcelo,” as Ngobeni is affectionately called by his teammates, joined United from rivals Mamelodi Sundowns while Maseko has been promoted from the Reserve League side.

Meanwhile United will play their next match at home against Royal AM FC next weekend at home.
