Our focus shifts to the league – Furman

It is not ideal to be away from home for so long especially for two ‘home’ games, but Mbombela has been a successful hunting ground for us over the time.

We have played here, and we enjoy playing in the Mbombela stadium. Our minds are fully focused on making sure we come back home with three points.

It's very disappointing to be out of the TKO. It is a tournament we haven’t won for a few years and we were hoping to have a good run in it this time around. Now we are out of the competition, our focus shifts to the league. Playing the same team back to back is never easy but hopefully we have learnt a lot about Golden Arrows from the Cup game, and we have identified their strengths to guard against and some areas of weakness to exploit.

We have looked at the Cup game with the coach and the entire technical team in depth. We are trying to remain positive despite the defeat and take as many positives from the performance into this next game.

It is a very tight schedule now, but Bidvest Wits is always a game to look forward to. It is going to be tough with such a quick turnaround between the Arrows and Wits game, but the team will be fired up for another very tough encounter on Friday night. It is vital for us to start picking up points in the league so that we are in a strong position before the international break.

Onismor Bashera took a bad knock from a late challenge in the Arrows game. He is one of the toughest players I have ever seen, and I have no doubt he will be back in action very soon.
