SuperSport United young defender Keenan Phillips won man of the match award when nine-man SuperSport United lost 3-2 to Golden Arrows in the DStv Premiership encounter on the weekend.

The match was held at the Princess Magogo Stadium in the KwaZulu-Natal province.

Despite playing with nine-man down, the young right-back displayed some brilliant performances and deservedly won the accolade.

This was a bitter experience for Matsatsantsa who will miss their two key members for this week’s two matches after receiving marching orders.

Striking pair Thami Gabuza and Iqraam Rayners are the important members of the team and this is already a headache to the coach.

Matsatsantsa are scheduled to play two matches in four days against Chippa United in the league and Tshakhuma FC in the Nedbank Cup respectively.
