SuperSport United goalkeeper Boalefa Pule is brimming with confidence ahead of their midweek home fixture against Cape Town City.
The match is scheduled for Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Kick-off is at 17:30.
Pule’s performances did not disappoint between the sticks due to unavailability of skipper Ronwen Williams who was not well.
The North-west-born keeper has so far played two consecutive matches against rivals Mamelodi Sundowns and Sekhukhune United respectively.
“I’m always ready for any opportunity that comes my way. What really pushes me is that we work as a team and encourage each other.
When the coach picks any player in our team they must come to the party and make sure that they fight for the badge. This is the same thing applies to me,” said Pule.
Pule emphasized that Matsatsantsa must try as much as they possibly can to go into the festive season break on a high note after dropping a lot of points recently.
“We must win our next match and go into the Christmas break on a positive note. We dropped a lot of points and this is not good for the team. We are finding ourselves in an unfamiliar position and this is not the SuperSport way.
Our next match against Cape Town City is not going to be an easy one. Our previous meetings against them are usually difficult, including Cup matches,” said the Matsatsantsa keeper.
United are currently on position eight having played 16 matches and have bagged 23 points so far.
A win for Matsatsantsa may see them jumping into the top five bracket.
United will rely heavily on players such as Thami Gabuza, Teboho Mokoena, Jamie Webber, Gamphani Lungu and a few youngsters who have ben promoted from the DStv Diski Challenge Reserve League.
Good news for Matsatsantsa is the return of midfield maestro Teboho “Tebza” Mokoena after recuperating from an illness.
