Q and A with Khayelitsha coordinator Nkosikhona Ngqaza

SuperSport United website touched base with Matsatsantsa Khayelitsha based coordinator Nkosikhona Ngqaza regarding the COVID19 in the Western Cape and other football related issues.

How is Cape Town and how do you guys cope with lockdown?

We are trying by all means to encourage each other that this will pass and things will get back to normal.

Are the people on that end adhere to the lockdown rules?

Some of them do adhere to the lockdown rules and others don’t take it too serious.

Western Cape seems to be on top of the list with a higher number?

Yes, that’s right and I believe it’s the people that don’t take the lockdown very seriously as in some areas it’s like there’s no lockdown at all.

What is your take on the COVID19 and what advice would you give to fellow South Africans?

I would like to tell every fellow South African that we should consider our loved ones, we need to think before you leave your house if it is necessary not to Stay At Home.

What do you do during this lockdown? Are you an essential worker? What are you busy with since we have moved from level 5 to level 4?

I am back at work since we’ve moved to Level 4.

How much do you miss live football?

I miss football a lot and I stay engaged with our team on Facebook and Instagram.

How do you and other Matsatsantsa supporters keep in touch or keep your conversation going?

We keep in touch via our Facebook page.

What do you talk about mostly?

We share the team memories and we remind others that didn’t support the team those times.

What is your message to the football community regarding the COVID19 that has gripped the whole world?

To the football fraternity we would like to urge everyone to comply with Lockdown rules under the current world wide crisis, we understand everyone is dying to come out and play as well to support your respective teams…
