Ronwen Online – We are ready for Cape Town City

It’s a huge disappointment, we let ourselves and the country down by not qualifying for the AFCON 2022 but we need to learn from this and get better.

We got World Cup qualifiers coming up and we can’t dwell too much on our failure, we got another chance to redeem ourselves.

We had time to reflect as a team, we are obviously disappointed with how things went for us for the month of March, we worked hard on our shortcomings, and the spirit is high, we are ready for Cape Town City, it’s going to be tough but we know that we can beat them.

They have a very good squad that has been working together for few years now, but we don’t focus on who they have, we worry about our game plan and strategy.

We still have few players out injured, hopefully they will come back into the team before the end of the season.

We had team building exercises and the players’ work rate was positive, the main objective was to prove how important being a team is, no individual is bigger than the team, we enjoyed ourselves and it lifted the moral of the team.

On a positive note, we are happy for our international players (Kuda Mahachi, Evans Rusike and veteran Onismor Bhasera), they all played and done well, we congratulate them as they will be participating in the AFCON next year.

Also, Coach Kopo has done exceptionally well for years now, I’m glad he got a chance to be part of our national set up, he deserves it.
