Ronwen Online – We are ready for the new season

The pre-season camp in Polokwane was a success, new players got introduced into the SuperSport United setup and the way we do things.

We focused on our structure and the way we want to play, we all are on the same page now and the fitness levels are very good, and we ready for our first match.

We have secured very good signings, combination of experience and youngsters, they will definitely add value to the team.

I and George Chigova have a good relationship and he will definitely add quality and experience in our goalkeeping department.

The young players feel at home already, they are talented but what stands out is their will to want to learn and improve.

We love the new design of our new jersey, colours and material, hopefully it will inspire us to do even better than last season.

Our head coach gave a lot of youngsters a chance and they have done very well, the future is definitely bright, we should know that we haven’t had any match practice in over a month and the players put in a good shift.

Leading Bafana Bafana f0r the first time was a dream come true for me, it was such an honour to lead the team, I’m one of the guys that’s been part of the setup for the longest time and I appreciate the coach for showing faith in me.

I didn’t know how to feel, it only sunk in later on in the day, but it was the best feeling, one I can’t describe.

The coach rested a lot of the regular players because they haven’t had any games in a while so the guys who came in have done very well under the circumstances, the future is definitely bright.

It’s also wonderful working with a familiar face and I’ve got huge respect for Coach Kwanele Kopo who is in the national team setup, it’s wonderful for the club to have players and coaches who came through our academy and now representing the national team.
