Ronwen Online – Week Three

SuperSport United captain Ronwen Williams updates the Matsatsantsa family as the team completes week three since they resumed training programme.

How is the level of confidence in the camp?

All players have been put through our paces, everyone looks sharp and ready and slowly gaining match confidence.

What is the focal point at training in week three?

All the fitness testing has been concluded and I’m happy to say that most if not all the guys are looking very good, we been focusing more on team play, 11 v 11 to get us match ready.

There should be tremendous progress since you have covered both week one and week two?

The guys are getting stronger and sharper by the day and getting much needed confidence and minutes in our 11 v 11 matches.

Are you still following tight measures in the facility or was it only in the first week where everything was checked from the main entrance right through to the dressing rooms?

There are strict protocols that we need to adhere to on a daily basis, we have come so far and can’t get complacent now, and the technical team motivates us on a daily basis to continue doing the right things.

The team is now enjoying training programme after missing it so much?

We are loving being at training and being able to do what we love, there are still protocols but most importantly we are happy and motivated to be back on the training ground.

What is your message to the entire world since we are in the peak of the COVID19 pandemic?

Let’s continue doing the right things and adhere to government’s plea, let’s practice social distancing and good hygiene as much as possible, stay home and stay safe.
