The South African football squad lost 4-3 to France in their second match of Group A in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The match was held at the Saitama Stadium on Sunday morning.

This was one of the interesting encounters in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics so far.

Team South Africa has now lost their second consecutive match after losing to hosts Japan in their opener last Thursday.

Matsatsantsa’s three team members featured in both matches.

In the second match, Mokoena netted a powerful drive on the far post to put SA in the lead (3-2) towards the end of the match before France levelled matters and ultimately scored a winner to finish the match at 4-3.

Meanwhile SA will take on Mexico in their last match of Group A on Wednesday.
