The South African under17 boys beat Zambia 3-2 in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations match that was played last night in Algeria.

The halftime score was 2-0.

Zambia came back strongly in the beginning of the second half and netted two goals within four minutes (45,’ 48’).

SA’s Vicky Mkhawana netted a brace while Michael Dokunmu scored a winner.

This was SA’s second hard-fought encounter following their loss to Morocco in the opening match of Group B.

Meanwhile SA’s next last group match will be played this coming Saturday against Nigeria.
