Two SuperSport United Academy graduates were promoted to the senior team and made their official appearance this past weekend.
The pair is Lucky Muthewi and Siviwe Magidigidi who both started off the bench in the Nedbank Cup Last 16 on Saturday afternoon.
Muthewi replaced left winger Shandre Campbell and the latter came on for Zimbabwean international, Terence Dzvukamanja in the 87th minute.
The match was held at the King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium in the KwaZulu-Natal province as United went on to win the match and advanced to the quarter-final round.
Muthewi, a 17-year-old youngster who hails from the Vaal, won the 2024 Gauteng Development League (GDL) Top 8 Cup recently.
Magidigidi hails from the Western province and joined the SuperSport United Development Academy from Ubuntu Football Club.
Meanwhile the duo formed part of the SAFA national under20 squad that has been assembled for a camp this week in Johannesburg.
