After a riveting 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, the DStv Premiership resumes this week as Matsatsantsa welcome Stellenbosch FC in their second round meeting.

The match is scheduled for Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Friday night.

Kickoff is at 19:30.

SuperSport United had two team members in the Bafana Bafana squad who finished third after beating the Democratic Republic of Congo 6-5 on penalties after playing to a goalless draw in regulation time on Saturday night.

The players are goalkeeper Ricardo Goss and defender Siyanda Xulu who will definitely rejoin the team when they come back home on Wednesday.

This week, United kicked off their final preparations ahead of their crucial home match at their training headquarters at the Megawatt Park in Sunninghill, Johannesburg.

Coach Gavin Hunt’s charges have been keeping fit with their usual training sessions and also participated in a lot of practice matches.

Meanwhile the last time United played a league match was when they dropped maximum points on the road against Richards Bay in December last year.
