SuperSport United DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) boys crushed Chippa United 5-2 in the Reserve League on the weekend.

The match was held at the TUT Stadium on Sunday in Tshwane.

Matsatsantsa opened the scoring account with Thabang Makhubo’s header after receiving a brilliant cross from Shandre Campbell in the 18th minute.

The halftime score was 2-0 to Matsatsantsa.

SuperSport started the second half with the same positive energy and were rewarded with the third goal in the 50th minute by red-hot Shandre Campbell.

In the 54th minute Keenan Bezuidenhout netted SuperSport’s fourth strike with a beautiful assist from Jabu Matsio.

The score was 4-0.

Chippa United pushed very hard to get one back in the 63rd minute, the score was 4-1.

Three minutes later Chippa pushed for another goal and were lucky to get another one and the score was 4-2.

In the 70th minute Matsatsantsa made some crucial changes as Ryan Manning and Neo Rapoo came off the bench for Thabang Makhubo and Aphiwe Baliti respectively.

The final score was 5-2 to SuperSport United who cemented a place in the Reserve League’s top three.

Meanwhile the super boys welcome Maritzburg United in their next Reserve League encounter at home next Sunday.
