SuperSport United Football Club, management and supporters would like to congratulate their captain Ronwen Williams on his new role in the senior national team.

This after one of Matsatsantsa’s longest serving members was appointed as the new Bafana Bafana captain. However, Williams captained the squad when Broos' predecessor Molefi Ntseki was in charge.

The new skipper was officially announced by new coach Hugo Broos ahead of their two crucial 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier matches against Zimbabwe and Ghana in the first week of September 2021.

Bafana will take on neigbouring state Zimbabwe on the road on Friday this week (September 3) at the National Sports Stadium and this match precedes their next meeting against the West African nation Ghana at the 2010 FIFA World Cup final venue FNB Stadium on Monday (September 6) next week. 

The two matches kick off at 3pm and 6pm respectively.
