SuperSport United Football Club supporters were invited to watch the club’s training session last week on Friday.
The training session was held at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville, Tshwane.
It was an exciting event as the Matsatsantsa fans turned out in numbers to meet the coach who made history with them nine years ago after clinching three consecutive championship titles.
At the end of a long session, the fans were introduced to new faces in the team as they beefed for the new 2022-2023 DStv Premiership season.
The players that were introduced included Thulani Hlatshwayo (from Orlando Pirates), Thabang Sibanyoni, Ricardo Goss and Grant Margeman (from Mamelodi Sundowns).
“We welcome our new players ahead of the new season. Most of all, we want to send a warm welcome to coach Gavin Hunt. We made history together with Hunt and hope we will continue with our unfinished chapter.
We also hope Hunt with bring back the smile to the faces of our supporters. The signing of quality players is definitely a sign that he and his technical team are looking forward to competing,” said the Matsatsantsa coordinator Thina Muhali.
Matsatsantsa kicks off the new season at home as they welcome Chippa United this coming Sunday at the Lucas Moripe Stadium. The match starts at 17:30.
“We can’t wait for the new season to kick off. We will continue where we left supporter recruitment so that we can push to get more numbers into the Stadium,” he concluded.
