SSU focus on Telkom Knockout Last 8

After playing to a 1-all draw against Bloemfontein Celtic in the league encounter on the road last night, Matsatsantsa will now focus on the Cup competition.

SuperSport United welcome the KwaZulu-Natal based outfit Golden Arrows this coming weekend in the quarterfinal of the Telkom Knockout on Saturday night.

The match is scheduled for Mbombela Stadium on Saturday night.

The match starts at 2015.

This is going to be a tough one to both teams as Arrows are also eyeing the Last 4 spot in the competition.

As for United, they will certainly rely heavily on their Cup pedigree.  Having won the first Cup competition of the league (MTN8 Cup) recently, that says it all.

Matsatsantsa will rely heavily on players such as Thami Gabuza, Aubrey Modiba, Clayton Daniels, Ronwen Williams, Siyabonga Nhlapo and captain Dean Furman.

Meanwhile the return of skipper Furman is a big boost for the home side ahead of the big match. Furman was not available for selection in last night’s league match due to a one match suspension.

In the first round, Matsatsantsa beat the Polokwane based outfit Baroka FC on penalties
