SuperSport United will fly out to neighbouring state Botswana for their crucial CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round match this coming weekend.

Matsatsantsa take on Gaborone United FC at the Botswana National Stadium on Saturday night.

Kickoff is at 19:00 (SA time).

This is United’s first round encounter of the CAF competition after qualifying by virtue of finishing third in the DStv Premiership last season.

United have consolidated their squad at the beginning of the season and their physical presence looks solid and competitive. Their squad is a blend of experienced international and outstanding young players who have been promoted to the senior team this season.

As some of the players are currently on international duty, Matsatsantsa have organized a few friendly practice matches ahead of the CAF competition.

United kicked off the domestic league on a positive note having played five matches, won three, drew one and lost once.

They are currently lying third behind second placed Golden Arrows with the same number of points (10) and leaders Mamelodi Sundowns FC with 18 points.
