South Africa were unlucky following a 1-0 loss to hosts Japan in their Tokyo 2020 Olympics opener on Thursday.
The match was held at the Tokyo Stadium.
Matsatsantsa’s three players were in the starting lineup and put some great performances even though the team dropped three points.
The players are goalkeeper Ronwen Williams, Luke Fleurs and Teboho Mokoena. The trio played a full match.
Team SA conceded a goal in the 70th minute after failing to deal with a pi-point cross from Tanaka Ao on the left to Real Madrid prospect Takefusa Kubo who cut into the box and netted on the far post.
Meanwhile Team SA will take on France in their second match of Group A on Sunday morning. Kickoff is at 10am (CAT).
