How are you coping with the Lockdown after extension?

First off I want to thank all our health workers as they doing a fantastic job.

It’s been tough, it’s not something i am used to, but it’s given me time to do things I’ve neglected.

What else do you apart from football related activities you are doing on a daily basis?

I try and not have a set routine, I’ll do my workouts, then we will have a family Zumba session that helps keep us all fit, then I would be tidying up the yard and kicking ball with my son while my lady is busy cooking and cleaning.

Schools are sending some work for parents to help their children, are you participating to help your son with homework and other activities?

His mother enjoys doing the work with him but I would help with his Zulu as I understand it.

Apart from school work, what else are you helping in the household?

We all try and do our part, we try and clean together, we even cook together, so we all can stay sane and busy.

Can you cook? What dish are you good at?

I’ve taken a liking to cooking, I can cook a mean lamb curry with rice and roast potatoes, other days it would be chicken curry, and they have enjoyed my food.

Can you clean the house? Or maybe do some washing for very body in the house?

We all try and tidy up as much as possible and whoever is in the mood to do the washing will do it, we’ve all played our part.

Who is doing the garden at your place? Are you able to do the Garden just to get your surrounding tidy?

I have a big garden, but I make sure the yard and swimming pool is clean at all times, that one is my job!

Your son plays football. Does he also helps you in a way to execute some of the exercises during the session since yours is not the same as other players’ with regards to working on the ball?

Luckily for me my son is at the Kyalami SuperSport United Soccer School so they have been given work and activities to do, same as us. When I’m done with all my work then it’s time for us to mess around because he enjoys beating me. He really enjoys coming out on top!

How much do you miss your teammates and everybody else in the team?

I miss everyone from the technical team down to the cleaning ladies and more especially my players, this is the longest I’ve gone without seeing a single football player in my life and it’s certainly not a nice feeling, just the jokes and stories that you hear on a daily basis is what I miss the most.

What is your message to the football supporters and your fans who miss live football as far as COVID19 is concerned?

We miss our supporters! We miss them singing our names and cheering us on! We face an enormous and dangerous pandemic, but one that we could win if we abide by the rules and stay indoors, practice good hygiene and keep social distancing. Everyone stay safe and healthy and see you soon!
