SSU welcome Baroka in Tshwane

SuperSport United Football Club welcome the Limpopo based outfit Baroka FC in the second round of the DStv Premiership encounter.

The match is schedule for Saturday at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville, Tshwane.

Kickoff is at 5pm.

Matsatsantsa are going into this match after playing to a 1-all draw with Swallows FC in Soweto in a midweek fixture.

This was a hard fought battle for coach Kaitano Tembo’s boys as they trailed for a longer period of the match and were finally rewarded in the 77th minute.

With just five matches remaining before the season ends, United must fight to consolidate a place in the top eight finish.

They are currently lying on position six on the league table having played 25 matches with nine wins, 10 draws, six losses and have bagged 37 points so far.

A win for Matsatsantsa may see them jumping to number four on the league table if Maritzburg United beat Swallows who are seating above (position five) SuperSport with 39 points.

This is a must win for SuperSport who have registered many draws in the league as opposed to the wins.

A big boost for Matsatsantsa is the return of leading goal scorer Bradley Grobler who is back in the fold after recuperating from an injury he picked up at the beginning of the year and has played two matches so far.

Also, United will rely on players such as Sipho Mbule, Keenan Phillips, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe and Teboho Mokoena.

In the first round meeting, United won 3-1 in Polokwane, forwards Thami Gabuza and Grobler scored one goal and a brace respectively.
