Super boys are the new DDC Champions

SuperSport United Football Club Reserve League boys were officially crowned the new DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) champions on the weekend.

This after the super boys beat Swallows FC 3-0 at the match that was held at the Tsakane Stadium in Ekurhuleni on Saturday.

Matsatsantsa netted their first goal early in the first half from the speedy winger’s header Thapelo Maseko.

The halftime score was 1-0.

Matsatsantsa made their intentions clear as they continued with the same momentum in the second half.

They netted their second goal from Thabang Mahlangu’s spot-kick after Swallows defender wrongfully tackled Tenda Matodzi in the box as the referee pointed to the spot.

Left-back Neo Rapoo also got his name on the scoresheet as he scored the third goal.

The final score was 3-0 to Thabo September and Roscoe Krieling’s boys after having a fantastic DDC season.

They have so far collected 62 points having played 29 matches and they are followed by Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City on position two and three respectively.

Meanwhile the boys will still play their last match of the season against Kaizer Chiefs next weekend as a formality.
