Bloemfontein Celtic will square off with SuperSport United in the DStv Premiership match at the Dr Molemela Stadium on Tuesday.

Kick-off is at 3pm CAT (SA, GMT+2).

Phunya Sele Sele are now winless in two matches after being eliminated from the Nedbank Cup by Cape Town City, who thumped them 4-0 in the Last 32 game over the weekend.

Celtic, who lost 4-3 to AmaZulu FC in the league before facing City, are placed 12th on the DStv Premiership standings - five points above the relegation zone.

John Maduka, the Celtic head coach, was disappointed to see his charges fail to take their chances against City, but he made it clear that they will fight for the three points against SuperSport.

"After they [City] scored the first goal, we had a couple of chances and we could have scored two or three goals," Maduka said.

"But we lacked composure in the box, we were not comfortable in the box and they [City] managed to defend.

"[It will be a] difficult game again. We are playing at home [against SuperSport]. We have to go out there and compete, and make sure that we get the three points."

Meanwhile, SuperSport are also winless in two matches having been stunned 1-0 by Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) in the Nedbank Cup Last 32 game last week Thursday.

The defeat came after Matsatsantsa had drawn 1-1 with Swallows in the league and they are placed joined-second with the former on the DStv Premiership log.

Kaitano Tembo, the SuperSport head coach, refused to blame his charges after their defeat to TTM and he indicated that he will rest some of his players against Celtic.

"I cannot blame the players, they tried. We could have played the whole day, but we wouldn't have scored," Tembo said.

"We had opportunities to win the game, but we couldn't take them. Credit to Tshakhuma, they fought and they deserved the win.

"We will try to make sure that we bring in some fresh legs for the game against Celtic. I could see a lot of tired legs against Tshakhuma. So, we will try to rotate the team."
