Tembo sings Gabuza’s praises

SuperSport United big centre-forward Thamsanqa Gabuza netted a winning penalty as Matsatsantsa advanced to the Last 8 of the 2019 Telkom Knockout.

This after United beat the Polokwane based outfit Baroka FC 3-2 on penalties (the final score was 1-1 at regulation time).

Gabuza, who has been untouchable since joining United this season, came back stronger after coach Kaitano Tembo gave him a few days break due to the loss his child recently.

“I’m happy for Gabuza, he came back with clear mind and refreshed. He always comes to the party when you put him on the pitch. He is a strong person mentally and physically.

We gave him some time to rest after the tragedy that befell his family,” said the United mentor Kaitano Tembo.

The ex-Orlando Pirates forward fitted like a glove at United as he formed a formidable partnership with Bradley Grobler upfront.

Gabuza also helped Matsatsantsa to lift the first Premier Soccer League (PSL) Cup competition of the season recently in Soweto. Also, he is the tournament’s top-goal-scorer after netting three strikes.

Meanwhile Matsatsantsa welcome Black Leopards FC in their next match, a league encounter that is scheduled for Friday night.
