The SuperSport United Football Club website spent some time with veteran defender Clayton Daniels and shared the Bio-Bubble experience on the new normal.

Tell us briefly about the Bio-Bubble experience?

 The Bio-Bubble was a good experience, we learnt on how to behave in a manner the government together with the hotel management that there is regulations and rules to apply and all the players came on board.  So credit must go to all the SuperSport United staff and technical staff for always be very professional in making sure everything is going according to plan.

What is it that you have learnt individually?

 It's a new normal for all of us, we always have to keep that in mind, so being in the Bio-Bubble was a platform on how to behave properly everywhere all the time.  A lot of good things emanated from it.

 Did the team adhere to the protocol for the whole stay into the Bubble?

 It was different to be playing without our fans, the atmosphere is not the same but hopefully soon things will be much better and fans can come watch the games in the new season.

You had a break for a week, and hopefully it gave you time to recharge and prepare for the new season?

A break for a week is not really long enough for us to rest but I'm sure our management will know how to set up our programme going forward to keep us active fresh and ready for a long season ahead.

In my opinion, the team worked very hard looking at the overall results and the matches the team played?

The team really showed that we can compete and challenge for honours, we did much better this past season than other seasons in the past.  On top of that, we have so many young players and they have showed a lot of hunger, that’s a good sign for the future of our club.  All is good and we are thankful and happy to be back and we are looking forward to a new season of greatness.
