Tito’s debut for Matsatsantsa makes huge impact

New SuperSport United attacking midfielder Patrick Maswanganyi debuted for his new team on Tuesday night.

This after Matsatsantsa beat KwaZulu-Natal outfit Royal AM 3-1 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville.

The new Matsatsantsa sensation assisted with a brilliant delivery as Thami Gabuza opened the scoring account in the 59th minute. The final score was 3-1.

“Tito,” as he is affectionately called by his teammates, joined Matsatsantsa at the beginning of the current season and he patiently waited for his opportunity to come.

The Thembisa-born-midfielder is a product of Stars of Africa, the local football development academy under the management of the legendary Harold “Jazzyqeen” Legodi.

After he left the academy he went overseas where he had a stint with Uniao Desportiva Oliveirense and Academica FC (both in Portugal) before coming back home.

Meanwhile Maswanganyi won man of the match award as his team moved to position three on the DStv Premiership log table.
