SuperSport United forward Bradley Grobler couldn’t hide his excitement after netting his 100th Premier Soccer League (PSL) goal.
This after the Matsatsantsa marksman converted from a penalty spot after beating visitors Maritzburg United 2-0 in the DStv Premiership match in Atteridgeville on the weekend.
The memorable event was held at the Lucas Moripe Stadium last Friday.
Grobler made his debut back in 2007 as a Platinum Stars Football Club player (now Venda Football Academy campaigning in the Motsepe Foundation Championship).
“I’m very excited, this is a milestone. I didn’t think that reaching 100 goals in the PSL was such a big deal. I back up myself on scoring goals, which is why I don’t play under pressure on this one.
I get a lot of motivation from my dad who also played the game. We analyse each and every match that I participate in,” said the SuperSport United legend Grobler.
Other PSL legends who scored 100 goals are Mozambican international Manuel Bucuane, Mabhuti Khenyeza, Siyabonga Nomvethe, Daniel Mudau and Zambian Collins Mbesuma.
“I joined the 100 club and this is very special to me. I grew up playing football and was trained by my dad when it started. I also grew up watching these special players play. PSL is not an easy league to score goals, in fact, it is a very defensive league,” concluded Grobler.
